Close to 14,000 children to plant trees across Canada

The ChariTree Foundation’s ‘A tree for every child’ program gives children trees to plant all across Canada by partnering with schools and The Canadian Camping Association.

The Charitree Foundation is Canada’s environmental education charity for children. These days many children have less time and fewer opportunities to connect with nature. This is a real loss because research shows that contact with nature makes kids feel better about themselves. Charitree strives to give as many children as we can a tree of their own. It’s about supporting environmental education programs for children by giving kids a tree to plant at their home or school that is native to their region ~ and an opportunity to connect with nature and contribute positively to their world.

Thanks again to Catherine Ross and all the ‪#‎CanadianCampingAssociation‬ provincial reps for your efforts to get trees to camps in your province. Please forward the information below to all camps in your province that requested trees.

Don’t forget to tell us about your tree planting project
Please fill out The Tree Planting Form in June or July 2016, once your camp has received trees from The ChariTREE Foundation and you have completed your camp tree planting program with campers. Don’t forget to upload a couple photos from your tree planting day. You can also email photos to info@charitree-foundation.org. This is a mandatory form to help ChariTREE keep accurate reports
