🌿 Board Member Spotlight: Professor Michael Koehle 🌿

Dr. Koehle holds faculty positions at The University of British Columbia, where he researches the effects of air pollution, on human health and physical performance. His work is especially vital as we face a warming world where the health of people—and the planet—are increasingly intertwined.

This July, Dr. Koehle will be a featured speaker at the Global Climate and Health Summit (July 16–17, 2025) at London’s QEII Centre and online. This landmark event—supported by Wellcome—will unite global experts to:

  • Shape policy on heat, air pollution, and nutrition
  • Build networks across research, government, and civil society
  • Turn evidence into impact to protect health and our shared planet

We are grateful for Dr. Koehle’s leadership on the ChariTree board and in the global climate health community. His commitment strengthens our work helping kids become informed, hopeful climate champions through outdoor education and environmental literacy.
