The ChariTree Foundation Celebrates 20 Years of Growing Impact

Helping Kids Grow with Nature to Thrive Today and Lead Tomorrow

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Vancouver, BC — This Earth Day, The ChariTree Foundation celebrates 20 years of helping children grow stronger connections with nature.

Founded on Earth Day 2006 with the planting of a single tree by two children, The ChariTree Foundation began with a simple act of hope. That one moment has grown into climate and biodiversity education programs supporting children and youth across Canada and around the world.

Based in Greater Vancouver, The ChariTree Foundation is a registered Canadian charity and United Nations Climate Observer organization. This volunteer run grassroots nonprofit supports outdoor classrooms, tree planting projects, and nature based learning that helps kids get off screens, reduce stress, and reconnect with the natural world.

By introducing young people to the wonders of nature, The ChariTree Foundation helps nurture confidence, wellbeing, and the next generation of environmental leaders.

Founded by Andrea Koehle Jones and named in honour of the generosity of trees, The ChariTree Foundation believes small actions can grow into lasting change.

More announcements coming throughout The ChariTree Foundation’s 20th anniversary year.
